Analysis of Monopiles by the Program GEO Tools

Several analysis methods have been developed to predict the response of loaded pile and monopile foundations. These methods can be broadly classified into two categories: p-y and t-z methods and continuum-based finite-element (FE) and/or finite-difference (FD) methods. The continuum-based FE or FD methods are more versatile due to their consideration of different geometries, boundary conditions, and soil constitutive models, but are rarely used in practice due to lack of expertise and high computation time.
